Wolf in the Fog opened in 2013 and quickly became the place people in Vancouver talk about when Tofino comes up. The cooking is coastal without being precious — a whole fish, potato-crusted oysters, something with cedar smoke — and the room is loud, warm and full of surfers who have cleaned up for the evening.

Book it for the night you come back from Hot Springs Cove or a whale trip. The bar downstairs is the fallback when the dining room is full.
