Pluvio — the name is the Latin for rain, which is honest — is a husband-and-wife restaurant on Ucluelet's main road that has drawn attention out of proportion to its size since it opened in 2019. The tasting menu leans on the Pacific: spot prawns, halibut, sea urchin, wild mushrooms, and whatever the tide and the forest offered that week.
It is a special-occasion dinner, and the rooms upstairs make it a special-occasion night. Book it for the evening after a whale trip from the Ucluelet harbour, a five-minute walk away.
