Pacific Sands Beach Resort

Beachfront suites and lodges on Cox Bay with kitchens, fireplaces and a surf school on the sand — the family-and-friends version of a Tofino beach stay, on the beach the surfers rate highest.

Pacific Sands has been on Cox Bay since the 1970s and has grown into a village of suites and multi-bedroom lodges, all a few steps from a beach that is Tofino's most consistent surf break. Kitchens and fireplaces make it work for longer stays and for groups; the surf school on site takes beginners.

It is a ten-minute drive to town and the harbour departures, and the Tacofino truck is on the highway nearby. Storm season here is loud and wonderful.
