An organic, ingredient-led restaurant attached to the Fol Epi bakery in the old town, cooking with island farms and its own wood-fired bread. Quiet, serious and good for a long dinner.

Agrius shares a building and a philosophy with Fol Epi, one of the city's best bakeries: organic grain milled on site, wood-fired ovens, and a kitchen that treats vegetables as the main event as often as the fish or the meat. The result is one of the more thoughtful dinners in Victoria and one of the least showy.

It suits an evening after the Cowichan wine tour or a quiet night before an early ferry. The daytime bakery counter is a fine breakfast before a whale trip.
