Villa Eyrie Resort

A hillside resort on the Malahat summit with rooms looking down Finlayson Arm to the Gulf Islands, an Italian restaurant and a pool — half an hour from Victoria and on the road to the Cowichan wineries.

Villa Eyrie's location is the reason to stay: perched on the Malahat with the fjord of Finlayson Arm and the islands laid out below, close to Victoria yet outside it, and a short drive from the Malahat SkyWalk and the valley's tasting rooms. Rooms are large and most have the view.

It suits a wine-tour weekend or a quiet couple of nights between Victoria and Nanaimo. You will want a car.

Ideal for

The water

High on the Malahat above Finlayson Arm, with the water far below; Cowichan Bay's whale dock is twenty-five minutes north.
