Telegraph Cove is a handful of buildings on stilts around a tiny harbour, and the resort owns most of them: cabins with the original clapboard, a few larger houses, a campground in the trees and the boardwalk that everything sits on. You wake up beside the boats you are about to board.
It is simple, seasonal and books out for July and August a long way ahead. Port McNeill's motels are the fallback twenty minutes away.
